MartinWren, P.C. is pleased to announce that, on April 12, 2015, Charlottesville personal injury lawyer Jonathan T. Wren obtained approval from the Nelson County Circuit Court of a $250,000 wrongful death settlement in a case involving the residential house fire death of his clients’ father in August, 2009. The case was complicated by a number of factors, including the fire’s unknown origin and the delayed criminal prosecution of the homeowner, who was ultimately found to be not guilty of arson and murder for this fire, but guilty of arson and insurance fraud in two subsequent fires.
For media coverage of this wrongful death settlement, please see an article from the Nelson County, Virginia newspaper, The News and Advance, entitled, Settlement Reached in Nelson County Wrongful Death Case.
