One of the largest manufacturers of airbags, Takata, has been found to have distributed tens of millions of defective airbags. These airbags, when triggered in even the most minor fender bender, can fire shrapnel into the car and cut up, or even kill, drivers or passengers. To date, there are 11 known deaths related to these faulty airbags, and many other injuries.
