The Virginia State Bar has announced that Robert E. Byrne, Jr. of MartinWren, P.C. in Charlottesville is the winner of the 2010 R. Edwin Burnette, Jr. Young Lawyer of the Year award. According to the VSB, there are approximately 9,000 young lawyers in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and Bob was selected by his peers as the winner of the award due to his “dedicated service to the conference, the legal profession, and the community.”
Bob’s practice focuses on Business and Commercial Litigation, Intellectual Property Law and Litigation, and MartinWren, P.C.’s Virginia Personal Injury Lawyers group and Charlottesville Personal Injury Lawyers group. Bob is a 1997 graduate of the Industrial and Labor Relations School of Cornell University and a 2002 graduate, cum laude, from Regent University School of Law, where he served as the Chairman of the Moot Court Board. Following law school, Bob completed a judicial clerkship with D. Arthur Kelsey of the Court of Appeals of Virginia.
